Reading the picture book about a dog Flegi
How can we introduce children to the important topic of responsible pet ownership in a fun, warm, and age-appropriate way? Through Flegi, of course!
As part of the Crna Ovca festival, an educational reading session and creative workshop will be held for children aged five to ten, inspired by the latest picture book about everyone’s favorite dog, Flegi.
This year, Flegi and his owner Dora face a big question – what do you do when you find abandoned puppies? Through their new adventure, children will learn what castration and sterilization mean, why they matter, and what caring for animals in a shelter looks like.
After reading the book “Flegi the Castrated Dog,” young participants will get creative by making colorful bookmarks featuring characters from the story. Every child receives a copy of the book as a gift!
The program is organized by the Animal Protection Coordination Working Group of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County (KRAS), with the support of the County, and all activities are free of charge.
