Reading the picture book Pobješnjeli Flegi
We have a special event in store for our youngest black sheep – a reading of the picture book titled Pobješnjeli Flegi (Mad Flegi), for children aged between five and ten.
The picture book was produced by KRAS, an animal protection workgroup based in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, whose goal is to raise awareness about animal protection and responsible pet ownership among children.
Last year, Flegi had his debut as a happy and mischievous puppy that keeps getting in trouble. This time, he plays with a sick fox, and the story involves his friend Viki the Cat. The fast-paced story draws children’s attention to the important elements of animal protection: vaccination, role of the veterinarians, symptoms of rabies, and steps to take after exposure to the disease. The story conveys love for animals and has a happy ending: both Flegi and Viki end up healthy, thanks to their responsible owner Dora.
