On the plateaus above the Bašća valley, there are the most beautiful examples of dry stone walls in the form of stone flowers - "mrgari". Since ancient times, they have served shepherds for collective gatherings of sheep on spacious stone pastures. Learn the principles and application of traditional drywall construction techniques under the expert guidance of mentors from the "4 cities of Dragodid" association.
The workshop is FREE, and volunteers are provided with tools, protective gloves and a hot meal after the workshop. You should bring sturdy shoes and work clothes, sun protection, water and dry food. This year too, the workshop takes place as part of the Black Sheep event. After the workshop, you will be able to enjoy the rich musical, cultural, sports and gastronomic program of the Black Sheep.
Join us in preserving the old architectural heritage and learn the skill of stacking stone without binding material.
